PhyslibAlpha.AlgebraicFramework.JordanOrderUnit.Power.GeneratedByOne
The subalgebra generated by a single element
i. Overview
`J[a] := \operatorname{span}_ℝ\{1, a, a^2, a^3, \dots\}`: the smallest ℝ-subspace of a Jordan order-unit algebra containing `1` and closed under `∘`-multiplication by `a`. Every element of `J[a]` is (by definition of `span`) a finite real-linear combination of powers `a^{[n]}`.
This file only builds the *module*-level object and its membership API; the payoff — that `J[a]` carries a genuine commutative *associative* ring structure, reducing single-observable spectral theory to mathlib's ordinary associative machinery (`Power/Associative.lean`'s module docstring spells out the architecture) — is `Ring.lean`.
ii. Key definitions and results
- `IsJordanOrderUnit.generatedByOne` - `IsJordanOrderUnit.jpow_mem_generatedByOne`, `IsJordanOrderUnit.one_mem_generatedByOne`, `IsJordanOrderUnit.self_mem_generatedByOne` - `IsJordanOrderUnit.mul_mem_generatedByOne` : `J[a]` is closed under `∘`

Subalgebra generated by and
For an element in a Jordan algebra over , this definition denotes the -submodule spanned by the set of all Jordan powers . This submodule, often denoted as , represents the subalgebra generated by the identity element and the element .
For an element in a Jordan algebra over and any natural number , the -th Jordan power is an element of the subalgebra generated by and . Here, is defined as the -submodule of spanned by the set of all Jordan powers .
Let be a Jordan algebra and . Let be the -submodule of spanned by the set of all Jordan powers . Then the identity element belongs to .
Let be a Jordan algebra over . For any element , is an element of the -submodule generated by the identity element and . (Note: is defined as the span of the set of all Jordan powers .)
is closed under the Jordan product
Let be a Jordan algebra over and let . Let denote the -submodule spanned by the set of Jordan powers , representing the subalgebra generated by the identity and . For any elements , if and , then their Jordan product is also in .
